lyrics

Father’s ghost a basement dweller
Mothers voice lives in the cellar
Whisper then they shout and holler
Oh I need you most
Holy ghost lives in the mirror
You can’t see him loves her dearer
Showed her things that made life clearer
Then damasked itself to scold her
Son of father sick in the head
Pulls her hair and claws at her leg
Says he wants to poach her nest egg
Gurgles blood from mothers pinprick
Devil watches wishing for kids
From the daughters pelvic lipids
Sick with lust he slits his slick wrists
Tells the daughter it’s all her fault

Wake me up and dry my eyes I feel sick and belied
I forget my name for countless hours at a time
Every night the sweat is cold with needles in my side
My only wish your arms to hold me through all these nights

Father’s ghost is shouting louder
When will mother love her daughter?
It’s been so long since they shared laughter
They need her but she wants no one
Holy ghost is getting nearer
Palest hands just want to feel her
Touch the skin upon her shoulder
Squeeze the slime inside her bliss bib
Son of father petting vipers
Throwing cobras in the flowers
Anacondas swallow blue birds
Laughter when your stung with venom
Devil’s mouth is caked in fodder
Just wants to love all the daughter
She’ll say no, he’ll want to slaughter
Sick with lust he looms to watch her

Wake me up and dry my eyes I feel sick and belied
I forget my name for countless hours at a time
Every night the sweat is cold with needles in my side
My only wish your arms to hold me through all these nights

--

She went to the water
With her lover in hand
Asked can I be alone
As neither woman nor man

--

One foot then the other
Walking barefoot into the water
A feeling of calm unaltered
Her hand brushed her shoulder
The feel of her skin then told her
She was tired and a little older
She washed and she washed
Old skin falling off
Then clarity struck her with a blow so soft
What is but never was
Now cleansed with waters love
Will sink and wither into the mud
